The Amanda Pair Memorial Scholarship

Amanda loved serving our schools, and one of the ways we carry her legacy of investing in the next generation is through the Amanda Pair Memorial Scholarship. She was a true representation of the VHELP R.E.B.E.L.S. Who Lead Spirit, one of Service, Excellence and Legacy.

Each year, the VHELP PTO along with the Amanda Pair Foundation, hope to award two graduating VHHS seniors who attended VHELP with up to $6,000 each to help further their education.

Eligibility:

1. Applicants must be a Vestavia Hills High School Senior who is attending a 2- or 4-year university or technical school.

2. Applicant attended Vestavia Hills Elementary Liberty Park for at least three years.

3. Applicant not only demonstrated excellence in the classroom but has a heart for service and has exemplified the R.E.B.E.L.S. Who Lead Core Values.

A completed application includes:

1. Completed Amanda Pair Memorial Scholarship Application

2. Resume

3. One letter of recommendation from a teacher describing who you are as a person and student and how you have demonstrated the Rebel Edge.

4. A personal statement or essay, 500 words or less, on how your high school experience has embodied the R.E.B.E.L.S. Who Lead spirit. You may speak on one or more of the VHELP Core values: Respect, Empathy, Bravery, Excellence, Legacy, and Service.

Applications are due to the VHHS guidance office in February.
